UH Lambdas

On May 14th, 1993, the founding of Lambda Phi Epsilon at the University of Houston was one of its first in its class.

The chapter at the University of Houston began its road to becoming Pi Chapter on May 14th, 1993. We began our journey with our twelve founding fathers: Jonathan Dizon, David Gamez, David Ho, Jimmy Kim, Timothy Kim, John Ngo, Dan Nguyen, John Nguyen, Long Nguyen, Duke Truong, BaoPhong Vinh, and George Wong. With the help from our Zeta Chapter brothers at the University of Texas at Austin, we managed to receive associate chapter status on May 28th, 1994. On May 29th, 1995, through hard work and dedication, we received full active status as Pi Chapter. We continue our founders’ convictions in striving for excellence by earning the International Chapter of the Year award from 2006-2007, 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, which is considered the most prestigious award for Lambda Phi Epsilon.
